Iodine is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies in the United States. In this article I will discuss how you can increase your iodine intake with natural foods. 

What is Iodine? 

Iodine: Nutrient that is essential in the body for the functions of thyroid, cognitive and bone development. 

I wont get into the scientific breakdown of this chemical element, but long story short your body can not make iodine it has to be given.
